On the fifth floor of a traditional building from 1905 a 138-square-meter home unfolds with the charm of a studio. Historic beams and large skylights flood this sanctuary with daylight offering expansive city views. A spacious living room and lounge area provide tranquility and an invitation to linger while the open kitchen seamlessly integrates into the dining area promising sociable moments. The comfortable main bedroom with an open en-suite bathroom and an open dressing area as well as another bedroom and bathroom complete this studio as a cozy temporary home
The studio blends historical charm with modern character through its palette of grey white and warm wood tones. Rustic beams contrast with the light-filled rooms and carefully curated artworks lend depth and individuality to each space. The minimalist open bathroom offers relaxation while the living and sleeping areas invite lingering with soft colors and plush furniture.
The monochrome color choice of materials adds additional lightness: whitewashed beams grey-tinted masonry and the grey concrete floor set the scene for high-quality textures throughout the loft. Copper accents in the bathrooms and seating made of teddy and bouclé fabric give this apartment a unique charm further emphasized by eclectic details like ceramic dishes and furniture made of white plastics in the style of the 70s.
All Apartments have been equipped with products by local, independant brands. Handmade ceramics, natural beauty products in all the bathrooms, and eco-certified bed linens from Berlin. We are also happy to organise cleaning and laundry-services. And your four-legged Friends are welcome also!

In the future, how and where will we live and work? The topic of sustainable real estate development has long been a focus of Elke Bokelmann and Olaf Minkus. Conserving recources, using climate-positive materials, upcycling, recycling, maintaining biodiverse habitats and supporting artisanal work, together with a high sensibility for aesthetics.
Stadtflucht purchases and rents apartments in old, sometimes ruined buildings and restores them in symbiosis with the environment and historic preservation. Bokelmann and Minkus renew the old, consciously transfer history into the present and curate visionary interiors, considering sustainability to the greatest possible extent.
Bokelmann and Minkus represent the values of an open and free society that emphasises diversity and inclusion. Their diversity is reflected in the design of their spaces, which are accessible and welcoming to all people.
All properties in the „Stadtflucht“ project have a sustainable philosophy at their core. All materials used have been sourced locally and ecologically if possible. All textiles used, such as the bedding, have been made from certified organic cotton. The vintage furniture makes an additional statement upcycled and refurbished, soulful pieces tell a new story in the Stadtflucht apartments. This timeless, circular concept goes a little deeper as well -through the renovation of existing, old buildings, new life is breathed into historic objects. This careful transformation with great attention to details, where the original fabric is maintained, creates a bridge between old and new, between past and future and simultaneously creates a dialogue between these opposites.
The Berlin borough of Wedding has now attracted such a great number of artists, authors and other creators that even the New York Times has called it the new it-area -an enormous hub for future potential. Between street art, greenery, typical German „Eckkneipen“, Döner-Kebab and trendy restaurants, rose gardens and galleries this is one of the most authentic and pulsating boroughs of Berlin. The secluded nature of the building allows for a discreet entrance and is ideal for car pick ups.
From Lindower Strasse 18 it takes exactly one minute by foot to the Wedding S-and U-Bahn station, from where Berlin Mitte, Prenzlauerberg, Kurfürstendamm and the main station can be reached in only a few minutes.
